COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

What we are doing to increase the studio cleaning and other precautions for COVID-19?

  • There is an increase in our sanitising processes. Hand Sanitiser will be available at reception upon entry, in our bathrooms, and in numerous stations in the studio practice area (alternatively you can bring your own).

  • Our bathrooms will be cleaned multiple times a day with a disinfectant cleaner, and there will be an increase in our cleaning and sanitising processes, using effective cleaners and disinfectants at common use areas.

  • Signage communicating safety hygiene practices will be displayed in the studio.

  • ‘Markers’ will be placed in the practice area for placement of mats. These markers will limit the number of students per class to allow appropriate space (1.5 metres) between mats. The yoga practice will be confined to our own mats to ensure social distancing.

  • Common used areas such as reception, walkways and our lounge area will be marked to ensure social distancing.

  • Unfortunately, there is no use of our lounges to sit on.

  • Our kitchenette will be temporarily closed.

  • Our lockers will be temporarily unavailable.

  • Our water filter will be temporarily unavailable.

  • Our self check-in system (iPad) will be temporarily unavailable, all sign in’s must be complete via reception with our staff.

  • We will be encouraging pre-payments for class passes via Mind Body.

  • No hands on teacher assists will be allowed in classes.

  • No pranayama or breathing exercises will be allowed in classes.

  • Since our practice space has two doors, the reception side will be the designated “Entry” and the other (on the bathrooms side) “Exit” to facilitate social distancing.

  • The practice space will be cleaned after each class including floors and doors.

  • All staff, teachers and students are not attend the studio if they show symptoms of Covid-19.

  • Our reduced timetable will remain until further notice. Allowing for our slow transition back to a new way of normal and more importantly, time to sanitise and clean the studio to abide by Government regulations.

What is expected in terms of hygiene, distancing practices and cough and sneeze etiquette at the studio?

  • Bookings essential to attend all classes via Mind Body so we can track who has entered the studio. No walk ins are accepted.

  • You will be able to book into classes at least (1) week in advance and we are limiting visits to (1) class per client/per day. We require two hours notice for all cancellations (via Mind Body), failure to do so will result in a $20.00 late/no show fee.

  • We will have a waitlist and if a cancellation occurs Mind Body will send you an email stating you have been accepted into the class.

  • All students will be asked to wait patiently outside the glass entrance door (on level 5) to allow for the previous class to exit via the fire escape stairs/ or elevator.

  • You will be required to bring your own mat and own props to class for a short amount of time please (if you don’t have any props at home, feel free to improvise or go without) You will need to bring your own mat, no studio mats will be available for hire or to borrow. If you don’t have a yoga mat we have some for sale in the studio.

  • You will need to bring your own props until further notice. No studio props will be available for use.

  • If you’re feeling unwell please stay at home.

  • If you are showing symptoms of feeling unwell your teacher will ask you to return when you are well.

  • Practice good hygiene by washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol or hand sanitiser.

  • Bring your own drink bottle with water as we are not permitted to use the water filter.

  • Please follow coughing etiquette grab a tissue for your issue and an elbow for your cough.
